Singer Syahrini has responded to her Twitter followers’ criticism of her misspelled Twitter updates, saying they should find a better subject to criticize.
“I know it’s a mistake but why bother criticizing. There are a lot of things that are more important to criticize like corruption maybe. Why should they pick on me?” Syahrini said.
Syahrini said she wouldn’t make a big deal out of it and wouldn’t fire back at those who had criticized her.
Some of Syahrini’s Twitter followers had criticized the artist over the misspelled photo captions that she had posted on Twitter. Syahrini wrote “Sun Francisco” instead of San Francisco, referring to the city in the US where Syahrini spent New Year’s.

Nazriel “Ariel” Ilham, vocalist of rock band Noah, says he is working on something that will give fans a big surprise this year. But he refused to offer any clues about the surprise.
“I won’t leak anything at this time. It would be pointless if you have any clues as to what I’m doing right now. It won’t be called a surprise anymore,” he said.
When asked whether he was feeling any pressure to make a new album, Ariel said no.
“We are doing this happily. There is no pressure coming from anyone or anything in the process,” he said.
Ariel and Noah are still holding concerts to promote their second single, “I Live For You and Die Without You”, which was taken from Noah’s first album. The album, Just Like the Way it Used to Be, has reportedly sold more than 200,000 copies.

Singer Nia Daniati has said that she is busy preparing for her daughter Olivia Nathania’s wedding.
“God willing, we have set a date but it’s a secret. Hopefully the wedding will be in the next three or four months,” said the 48-year-old wife of lawyer Farhat Abbas.
Olivia, 20, is Nia’s daughter by her ex-husband, Bruneian Mohammad Hisyam, with whom she was married from 1991 to 1993.
Nia said that she supported her daughter’s decision and that her relatively young age was not a problem. “I think it is time they got married. They love each other. As a parent, I support their decision and hope for the best for them.

Actress and singer Dewi Persik revealed that she has to appear naked in her latest movie Nyi Blorong. She said the naked part was demanded by the scenario and she hoped that people wouldn’t deem it as pornography.
“I’ll dance naked on the pole as required by the scene, with no pornographic intentions. I hope the people will take this the right way,” she said.
Movie producer Shanker RS said that he was the one who offered Dewi the part.
He said the actress had taken the part after she was convinced that movie meant no harm.
In the film, Dewi plays Larasati, the daughter of a woman who marries a ghost snake and manages to charm men with her beauty.

Singer-cum-activist Melanie Subono has filed a petition on online petition website change.org, urging members of the House of Representatives’ Commission III on law and human rights to vote against Supreme Court justice hopeful Muhammad Daming Sanusi, after he made a “rape joke” during a fit-and-proper test at the House on Monday.
“I demand that Daming issue a public apology over his statement and that House Commission III should not appoint a man who has no manners in his way of thinking or talking as a Supreme Court justice candidate,” Melanie wrote in the petition.
Daming told lawmakers at the hearing that some rape cases may involve consensual sex and therefore required more lenient sentences than the death penalty. His statement caused uproar from the public and state officials.
Melanie’s petition had attracted more than 6,500 signatures as of Tuesday afternoon.

Sejauh ini, Son Tae Young belum muncul lagi di drama baru. Ia hanya sempat muncul sebagai bintang tamu di drama suaminya, ‘Queen of Ambition’ atau ‘Yawang’ yang dimulai 14 Januari 2013. Sedangkan program Son Tae Young akan ditayangkan mulai tanggal 18 Januari 2013.
